Development of core mixture containing orthophosphoric acid and inorganic metal salts for the manufacture of castings from iron-carbon alloys

Master's dissertation: 120 pages, 35figures, 34tables, 49references.

Object of research– the process of developing core sand mixture which are hardenable by heating due to chemical interaction phosphoric acid sulphates of metals.

Subject of investigation – structure and properties fosfosulfatnyh binding components, physical and mechanical properties of compounds, their formulation and production modes rods.

Objective–it’s establishment binding components of orthophosphoric acid and inorganic salts of Al and Fe and technology development of thermal strengthening cores for casting of Fe-C-alloys.

Methodsofresearch– thermodynamic calculations X-ray phase analysis and differential          thermo-gravimetric analysis, determination of sample properties, design of experiments, mathematical optimization data.

Research results – developed new binding components based on phosphoric acid and sulfate Fe and Al strengthening for hot rods. The dependence of physical and mechanical properties of the number of binding component in a mixture of acid concentration and temperature strengthening.

         Urgency of the research – rod mixtures provide compression resistance at 2,5...3,5 MPa dedicate for foundry cores which strengthened during heating.

Branch of production– engineering, metallurgy.

Projected assumptions – recommended core mixture for thermal strengthening can be used in terms of individual or mass production for castings of Fe-C alloys.
